
ABOUT OUR SUMMER TRAIL PROGRAM
WeROCK is excited to explore our local trails this summer. The program is catered to runners from 6th-12th Grade, however, we allow and encourage parents to join as well.
We will focus on long distance running and pacing on a variety of terrains. Due to the hilly nature of the races, we will spend a lot of time training on inclines, work on endurance and speed along with strengthening our core. Let’s spend some time running in the dirt!
MEETING TIME & LOCATIONS
All practices run from 6:00pm-7:30pm
- Monday: Beebe Park in Mission Viejo
- Tuesday: Canyon View Park (Aliso & Woods Canyon) in Aliso Viejo
- Thursday: Cox Park in Ladera Ranch

ABOUT THE RACES
This untimed event will take our runners through gorgeous single-track trails surrounded by trees, plant life and creek crossings. Each athlete will earn a finishers medal upon completion of the run.
Riley Park Trail Race at Riley Wilderness Park 5K or 10K
August 1, 2026
As a wildlife sanctuary, this park is packed with native plants, wildlife, and old groves of Western Sycamores and Coast Live Oaks. The course will take us through rolling hills and grassy canyons. At this timed event, all finishers will receive a race shirt and a finisher’s medal.
All Summer participants receive a WeROCK Trail Shirt!

REFUND POLICY: We do not grant any refunds for the summer trail running program.
STRICT 16 Minute/Mile Pace Requirement
- Depending on the athlete, their pace can be 1 to 2 minutes slower on the trail than it is on the road
- For the safety of our entire team, the 16-minute/mile pace requirement is not negotiable
- Any athlete not maintaining this pace requirement will be removed from the summer program
Required Gear:
Due to the Southern California Summer heat and evening running, a Hydration belt or Backpack is required for our Summer trail program. Handheld water bottles are not adequate for our summer trail program.
